Unlucky... I Must Say

In this winter break, I went to snowboarding camp with my cousins and their friends for three days long. The trip was fun but there were a lot of struggling happened during the way. In fact, there are too many struggling that I must say "the unluckiest day". All these struggling were happened on the vehicle that I was driving, which was a Honda Civic. The trip started out with sixteen people with four cars, including myself. Our destination was to get to the cabin that we reserved in the Mt. Hood. While driving, we got to the section where it required chains to drive. Therefore, we all got down our cars and together, we tried to put on the chains. It took us about 45 minutes to put it on, which was painful because of the freezing wind kept blowing into our faces. The idiotic thing that we did was the wrong inserted of chains. The chains suppose to insert onto the front wheels, not the rear wheels. We did this because we were told that the car was rear wheels drive, which was a big mistake. Hence, we ignored the problem and decide continue on. It was horrible, I must say. The car kept sliding back and forth which made it very complicate to drive. Since we were close to our cabin, we decided to stick with the problem for a little. The next struggling thing that we faced to get to our cabin was a troublesome small hill that was full of snows. At this intersection, we were unable to get up to the hill due to the dept of snow and the weak force of the car. The chain however, was useless because it was inserted into the wrong wheels. As a result, we spent around 30 minutes on trying to get the car up to the hill. We tried everything that we could include pushes, increasing acceleration, clearing the snow path, etc... However, all these things still weren't help much. Despite our laziness, we decided to remove the chains and inserted it onto the correct one. This process took us another 30 minutes. At that time, everyone was tired, hungry, cold, and desperate. When the chains was inserted correctly, we was able to passed through and get to our cabin without any problem. Yet, this is just a small portion and the beginning of the struggling that we’ve faced. Stay tunes for another crazy one that happened...
